I
found out last week (Nov
2006) that I
am pregnant. I researched
the dangers of lampworking
while pregnant, and the
consensus is that it should
better not be done.
Reason
for that is the fume
cocktail of glass and torch,
leads & other chemicals
released while melting the
glass.
The
possible effect on the
unborn child are not proven
in studies, but as a
precaution the advice is to
rather be on the safe side
and not do any torching.
Therefore, I am focusing
until July 2007 on designing
and crafting jewelry. Please
have a look in my "Jewelry"
section, where you can
always find my newest work.
I am using only highest
quality materials, handmade Lampwork beads by myself or
other US artists, Sterling
Silver and Bali Silver,
Swarovski Crystals and
semi-precious gemstones.
