November Newsletter - Spice and Ice for winter 09

November is here and I’m still trying to get used to the shorter days. Is it spring yet?   

Inspired by the upcoming holiday season I’ve been working  a lot with rich jewel tones, like warm gold, purples and caramels. Adorned with accents in gold, palladium, aventurine and dichro for that added shimmer and shine, my new series “Spice Islands” and “Fire and Ice” are perfect for your beautiful autumn & winter designs.

In “Spice Islands” I’m experimenting  with rich silver glass tones, luxurious gold and/or sparkling dichro … evoking memories of exotic markets, aromatic spices and ancient treasures.

Here is just one example of this new theme, Zanzibar (click for larger photo).

“Fire and Ice” is a very similar theme but combines silver glass in warm and cold hues, Palladium leaf and glimmer dichro … think of glaciers and sunsets, warmth of the winter sun and cold glittering ice crystals.

As always, you can find all your favorite accent beads and spacers in lots of silver colors and metallic finishes with a “Buy Now” option for immediate purchase. I’ve added a brandnew silver glass color with my new “Sea Petal Disks”. These disks are available in two different hues: a lighter version with seafoam as the dominant color and a darker version with denim and plum as the main colors. The lighter version is already listed, click here for a closer look. The darker disks are cooling down in the kiln the moment I’m typing this. So watch out for the brand new disks – they’ll be listed tomorrow.

You might have noticed that I changed my auction format and all listings of bead sets and focals are now 3-day auctions. Reason for this is that I had quite a few requests of customers asking for auctions to end sooner. Please check in often, so you’re not missing out on some spectacular beads.

My BloG is up and running - finally!

I was planning already for a long time to start a blog where I can publish glass color tests, little how-to videos, tool reviews and similar glassy things.

Now finally I bit the bullet and posted my first blog entry.

August Newsletter - New Shapes & Fall 09 Colors

August is already here –unbelievable, but summer is almost over. This month I have a couple of new exciting glass colors coming up.

Glimmer & shimmer spacers

Additionally to my well known silver glass spacers, I’m starting to offer glimmer & shimmer spacers in all the new fall fashion colors, like “Gun Metal”, “English Rose”, “Vampire Red”, “Bamboo” or “Gypsy Amethyst”.

Three of the new shimmer spacers are already available in my Ebay and Etsy shops:

Vintage Gold – semi-transparent with metallic shine, darker gold color, antiqued with specks for a trendy vintage look

Raw Silk – ivory colored with soft golden highlights, a wonderful neutral color that works with almost everything

Bronze Sand –light bronze glitter accents, works great with black and neutrals

 New silver glass and premium colors

Ekho arrived, the newest silver glass! I got a huge order of this glass, because it’s just so fabulous, you can’t get enough of it J.

It has lovely berry and caramel hues and develops an amazing purple-blue-silver luster. Encased it has the most beautiful iridescent shimmer in amber rose, purple and wispy blue.

I sold already several sets and there’ll be many new designs coming this week and in the next couple of months.

I listed also matching Ekho mini spacers, a new permanent addition to my Ebay shop.

Another new color are the Dark Silver Plum spacers – a deep plum colored glass with matt metallic shine. Great color for fall and winter!

Silver glass disks

I am starting to offer disks in a variety of premium and silver glass colors, starting with Psyche Disks and Dark Silver Plum Disks – check them out!

If you have special requests of certain colors in this beautiful new shape (or in my regular spacer shape), please let me know and I’m happy to extend the color palette.
